Years ago, our founders watched someone they loved battle addiction. Leilani's son, Tristan, struggled in ways that broke their hearts daily. But three weeks before his life on earth ended, something beautiful happened: Tristan found the Lord. In that sacred moment, he wasn't defined by his past or his pain—he was found, forgiven, and made new.

When Tristan passed, the grief was overwhelming. But in the midst of mourning, a decision was made that would change everything. Instead of retreating into silence, our founders stepped forward. Instead of letting pain become the end of the story, they let it become the beginning of purpose.

They began going into rehab centers and recovery facilities—the very places where Tristan had struggled—carrying a message of hope to people who feel forgotten, ashamed, or beyond saving. They go because they know the battle up close. They go because they've seen God redeem what others thought was too broken to restore. They go because Tristan's story didn't end in loss—it transformed into a legacy of hope.

I left the world too early,
but I didn't leave in vain.
God gathered up my story
and rewrote it from the pain.

the battles no one saw,

wrapped in mercy, love, and awe.

Before my final sunrise,
I found the Savior's hand—
a peace I'd never tasted,
a hope I'd never planned.

And when I stepped to heaven,
I learned what grace can do:
It carries on in others
and makes broken hearts brand new.

My parents share my journey
in places dark and deep,
to reach the ones still fighting
the storms that made me weep.

​

They preach because they love me,
they preach because God heals,
they preach because my story
became a light that feels so real.

So if you hear them speaking,
know this from where I stand:
I'm shining through the message,
I'm holding out my hand.

My life did not diminish—
it simply changed its form.
I'm part of every rescue,
I'm present in the storm.
